Football Game Preview: Calhoun County Saints vs. Williston-Elko Blue Devils

For the first time this season, Calhoun County will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will face off against the Williston-Elko Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Calhoun County hasn't scored more than 13 points for five games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Last Friday, Calhoun County took a blow against Batesburg-Leesville, falling 56-7.

Meanwhile, Williston-Elko was beaten by Fox Creek 55-8 on Friday.

Calhoun County's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Williston-Elko, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-5.

Calhoun County barely slipped by Williston-Elko when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 30-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
