Cherryville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Avery County Vikings. That's two games in a row now that Cherryville have lost by exactly two goals.

Cherryville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Avery County, their win ended a seven-match drought on the road and puts them at 2-17.

Looking ahead, Cherryville will take on Bessemer City at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Avery County, they will square off against Hendersonville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
