Basketball Game Preview: Brown County Eagles vs. South Ripley Raiders

The Brown County Eagles will face off against the South Ripley Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Brown County came into this matchup off a tough 28-point loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Edinburgh by a score of 45-42 on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled against the Lancers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Meanwhile, South Ripley didn't have too much trouble with Jac-Cen-Del on Friday as they won 54-38. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Eagles are ranked 334th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Ripley pushed their record up to 21-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.9 points over those games. As for Brown County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.
