Recap: Beddingfield Bruins vs. Princeton Bulldogs
The Beddingfield Bruins might've scored the first points on Thursday, but it was the Princeton Bulldogs who claimed the real prize. Beddingfield fell just short of Princeton by a score of 24-21. Beddingfield has struggled against Princeton recently, as their contest on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Beddingfield saw an underclassman step up: Jamauris Howard picked up 186 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Howard's longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Finch, who threw for 221 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes.
Princeton found their leader in underclassman Austin Lewallen, who rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns.
Beddingfield's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Princeton, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-3.
Beddingfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Princeton is also done with their season.
