Softball Recap: Cleburne County Tigers vs. Ranburne Bulldogs
Cleburne County lost against Ranburne last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers fell 6-3 to the Bulldogs. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Macey East spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Cleburne County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Baylie Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Kadence Brown was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Cleburne County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Ranburne, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-13 record this season.
Cleburne County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ranburne, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-3 win against Weaver on the 19th.
