Softball Game Preview: Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders vs. Pen Argyl Green Knights

The Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders will head out to square off against the Pen Argyl Green Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Notre Dame-Green Pond 3.9, Pen Argyl 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Notre Dame-Green Pond easily dispatched Palmerton on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Pen Argyl's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Notre Dame-Green Pond, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-3 record this season.

Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Notre Dame-Green Pond hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .418. However, it's not like Pen Argyl struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
