Basketball Game Preview: Port St. Lucie Jaguars vs. Tradition Prep Pirates

The Port St. Lucie Jaguars just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Tradition Prep Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Port St. Lucie didn't have too much trouble with Morningside Academy as they won 52-38. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Eagles (Eddy) recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Tradition Prep against Oxbridge Academy on Wednesday as the squad secured a 72-37 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-12.

Tradition Prep's win came from a few key players Port St. Lucie will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aydan Fields, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 17 points and seven rebounds. Jaydan Harris was another key player, shooting 63% from the field on his way to 16 points and seven boards.

Tradition Prep's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Port St. Lucie, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.

Port St. Lucie couldn't quite get it done against Tradition Prep when the teams last played back in January as they fell 52-45. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
