Soccer Recap: Calabasas Gets the Win

Calabasas kept a clean sheet against Agoura on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Agoura Chargers out 1-0. Given the Coyotes' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Chargers are ranked 578th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Calabasas' one-goal win came courtesy of Chase Kamara, who's now up to two this season.

Calabasas is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four contests. As for Agoura, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calabasas has already played their next game (against Westlake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Agoura is taking a road trip to square off against Newbury Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
