Basketball Recap: Soroco Rams vs. Rangely Panthers
Soroco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt an 83-24 defeat at the hands of the Rangely Panthers. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.
Joseph Cordova was Soroco's leading scorer, having posted 12 points. Owen Waters held things down on the boards with ten rebounds.
Rangely was led to victory by Kacey Allred and Lincoln Harris. Allred went 7 of 11 en route to 16 points and three steals, while Harris went 7 for 14 on his way to 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave Harris a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Clay Allred, who posted ten points and seven boards.
Soroco's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Rangely, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.
