Morgantown is 9-1 against University since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mohigans will head out to challenge the Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Morgantown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of West Virginia's top teams: Hedgesville, who was ranked first at the time (Morgantown was ranked second). The Mohigans fell 2-0 to the Eagles on Saturday.

Meanwhile, University unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of John Marshall by a score of 3-2.

University wouldn't go down easily and took John Marshall into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 18-25, 20-25, 25-18, 15-12.

Morgantown's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5-1. As for University, their loss dropped their record down to 20-6-2.

Everything went Morgantown's way against University in their previous matchup back in September, as Morgantown made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mohigans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
