Eldorado hasn't had much luck against La Cueva recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Bears at 10:00 a.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Eldorado lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Capital, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 17-8 margin over the Jaguars on Saturday. The Eagles not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 13th (when they won 20-2).

Eldorado got a massive performance out of Alyssa Martinez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and seven RBI. Those seven RBI gave Martinez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Hogan, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Eldorado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, La Cueva made easy work of Manzano on Saturday and carried off a 20-1 win. Considering the Bears have won seven contests by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Alyssa Hunt looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
On the hitting side, Alex Fox was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Lainey Alcaraz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
La Cueva is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Eldorado, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Saturday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Eldorado hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .353. However, it's not like La Cueva struggles in that department as they've averaged .435. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Eldorado suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to La Cueva when the teams last played back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
