Baseball Recap: Daleville Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Daleville walked away with it. They skirted past the North Miami Warriors 6-4.

Joshua Wilson made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Wilson was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Daleville's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is undefeated (and 8-11 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caleb Aikin, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Sigler, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Daleville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .406 or higher in three consecutive games.

The victory got Daleville back to even at 11-11. As for North Miami, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-7.

Daleville has already played their next contest, a 10-3 defeat against Northfield on the 31st. North Miami does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
