Football Recap: Central Bucks South Falls to Archbishop Wood in First Game of Season

Central Bucks South unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 39-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Archbishop Wood Vikings on Friday. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Central Bucks South's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Graham, who rushed for 91 yards and one score on only 11 carries. Graham's longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Bucks South will welcome Souderton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Archbishop Wood, they will be playing at home against Cardinal O'Hara at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
