Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Killdeer

Killdeer waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They took down the New Town Eagles 60-42. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Eagles are ranked 72nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Killdeer's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for New Town, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Killdeer has already played their next contest (against Des Lacs-Burlington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. New Town will look to defend their home court on January 23rd against Nedrose at 7:15 p.m.
