Basketball Game Preview: North Clayton Eagles vs. Riverdale Raiders

North Clayton and Riverdale are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The North Clayton Eagles will be playing at home against the Riverdale Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Clayton is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

North Clayton is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Stone Mountain: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that North Clayton blew Stone Mountain out of the water with a 59-24 final score. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Riverdale ended up a good deal behind Mt. Zion on Tuesday and lost 39-20. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

North Clayton now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Riverdale, their loss dropped their record down to 4-19.

Everything went North Clayton's way against Riverdale when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as North Clayton made off with a 47-24 victory. Does North Clayton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Riverdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
