Recap: Galileo Lions vs. Balboa Buccaneers
The Galileo Lions fell victim to the Balboa Buccaneers's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Buccaneers 37-0. Galileo has struggled against Balboa recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Balboa got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rylen Thien-Jones out in front who threw for 276 yards and four touchdowns. Thien-Jones is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Smith, who rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Galileo has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Balboa, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.
Galileo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Balboa will head out on the road to face off against Lowell at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
