Horton won the last time they faced Pleasant Ridge and things went their way on Friday too. The Horton Chargers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pleasant Ridge Rams, sneaking past 64-61. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Pleasant Ridge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Canon Duncan, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Mance, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 13 points along with five boards and three blocks.

Horton's record is now 7-1. As for Pleasant Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] on January 29th. Pleasant Ridge has already played their next matchup (against Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
