Baseball Game Preview: Clio Mustangs vs. Goodrich Martians

For the second straight game, Clio will face off against Goodrich. The Mustangs will host the Martians at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Clio fell victim to Goodrich and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Martians, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Goodrich's part, Brady Baszler made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Baszler also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Goodrich is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 0-3-1 otherwise. Baszler was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Hunter Asbury was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kash Bohlen, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

Goodrich always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Clio's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Goodrich, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4-1.
