Soccer Recap: Newaygo Gets the Win

Newaygo's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Belding Black Knights a 1-0 shutout.

Newaygo now has a winning record of 2-1-2. As for Belding, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newaygo will head out to square off against Lakeview at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeview's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Belding, they will take on Hopkins at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
