Southern Wayne extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They were outmatched by the Rocky Mount Gryphons and fell 48-7. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 341st, while the Gryphons are ranked 77th).

As for Rocky Mount, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Rocky Mount's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cquarhion Mitchell led the charge by rushing for 33 yards and two scores.
