Recap: Englewood Stem Panthers vs. Crane Medical Cougars
On Friday, Englewood Stem lost to Crane Medical on the road by a decisive 68-49 margin. While losing is never fun, Englewood Stem can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while Crane Medical is ranked 207th).
William Hill was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 20 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Treveon Hoskins, who scored 18 points.
Englewood Stem has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Crane Medical, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
Englewood Stem will be playing at home against Phillips at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Phillips focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Saturday. Crane Medical is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Chicago Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on January 10th.
