Recap: Foley Lions vs. Elberta Warriors
The Foley Lions had to endure a 14-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Elberta on Saturday by a score of 71-35 (the very same score they lost by the week prior). That looming 71-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Foley yet this season.
Ty Hunter went supernova for Foley, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam'ron Page, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Foley's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-26. As for Elberta, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foley will take on Milton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Milton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Foley in their respective states (Milton is ranked 144th in Florida, while Foley is ranked 373rd in Alabama). As for Elberta, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bayside Academy at 7:00 p.m.
