Flowing Wells is 9-1 against Cholla since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Flowing Wells Caballeros are taking a road trip to square off against the Cholla Chargers at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Flowing Wells was handed a eight-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mountain View, sneaking past 5-4.

Flowing Wells' victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bruce Gonzalez, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The dominant performance gave Gonzalez a new career-high in hits. Brady Vanderlaske also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Cholla put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Maricopa as Cholla made off with a 16-1 win.

Hector Silvain was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Silvain was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Carlos Alvarez was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jesus Martinez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Cholla's record now sits at 3-0. As for Flowing Wells, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.

Flowing Wells came out on top in a nail-biter against Cholla when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 7-5. Will Flowing Wells repeat their success, or does Cholla have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
