Basketball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside suffered their closest defeat since December 27, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Hokes Bluff Eagles by a score of 57-54. The Panthers were up 43-29 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Southside dropped their record down to 12-14 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Hokes Bluff, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-8.

Southside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hokes Bluff, they are taking a road trip to square off against Sardis at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hokes Bluff is facing Sardis at the right time seeing as Sardis is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
