Football Game Preview: Sycamore War Eagles vs. White House-Heritage Patriots + How To Watch

Sycamore is 1-6 against White House-Heritage since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Sycamore came up short against Waverly Central and fell 27-14.

Although Sycamore took the loss, they still got scores from Landen Arndt and Landon Hindman.

Meanwhile, White House-Heritage waltzed into their matchup last Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 19-3 win over the Spartans.

Sycamore better keep an eye on Xavier Murray. He was instrumental in White House-Heritage's win, throwing for 141 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punching in one rushing score.

White House-Heritage didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Stratford to a completion percentage of just 40.7%. The team can thank Cale Hunt for the heroic effort on defense: he. White House-Heritage hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.5 or higher in three consecutive games.

White House-Heritage's defense also made the game a nightmare for Anton Wilson, racking up 7.5 sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Alex Malich and Cooper Holder, who racked up 4.5 sacks between them. Malich is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. White House-Heritage got some further help from Dri Williams: he picked up 1.5 sacks and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.

White House-Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Sycamore, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
