Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lexi Richman and Tessa Miller Lead Flatirons Academy to Victory

Flatirons Academy won the last time they faced Union Colony Prep and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bison put the hurt on the Timberwolves with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Flatirons Academy took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-12.

Flatirons Academy was led to victory by Tessa Miller and Lexi Richman. Miller had ten digs and five aces, while Richman had five digs, four aces, and one block. Richman is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

They weren't the only good servers: Flatirons Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Flatirons Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Union Colony Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Flatirons Academy will host Front Range Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union Colony Prep, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dayspring Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
