Basketball Recap: Leggett Pirates vs. Trinity Tigers
Leggett couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Trinity Tigers on Friday, falling 41-12. The Pirates just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mariah Tyson, who posted six points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Emma Sustaita was another key player, scoring eight points along with five steals.
Leggett will take on Lovelady at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity, they will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against C.H. Yoe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
