Volleyball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Port Jervis Raiders, falling 3-0. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Monticello took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-17, 25-21.

Monticello's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Port Jervis, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monticello will challenge Chapel Field Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Port Jervis, they will host Pine Bush at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
