Softball Game Preview: Boyd County Lions vs. Winfield Generals

The Boyd County Lions will take on the Winfield Generals at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Boyd County has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Winfield will come in with 16 straight wins.

Last Tuesday, Boyd County came up short against Notre Dame and fell 10-6.

Meanwhile, Winfield owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Nitro. Considering the Generals have won five games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Winfield's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Boyd County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
