Recap: Lazbuddie Longhorns vs. Kress Kangaroos
This season hasn't been kind to the Lazbuddie Longhorns, who are still winless after their 12th match. They took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kress on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lazbuddie in their matchups with the Kangaroos: they've now lost three in a row.
Dillon Morphis was a one-man wrecking crew for Kress as he shot 4-for-11 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 31 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morphis has scored all season. Calin Teeple was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Lazbuddie's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.8 points per game. As for Kress, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15.
Coincidentally, Lazbuddie and the Kangaroos will both be playing the Swifts the next time they take the court. Kress will head out to face Nazareth at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lazbuddie will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
