Westville is a perfect 5-0 against Chrisman since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Tigers will take on the Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. Westville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.2 runs per game this season.

Westville had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Deer Creek-Mackinaw on Saturday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 14-7 margin over the Chiefs. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their two-run performance the game before.

Madison Jones was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Lani Gondzur was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs.

Meanwhile, Chrisman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 14-4 to Hoopeston.

Taylor Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Westville's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 25-5. As for Chrisman, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Chrisman's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Westville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Chrisman, though, as they've been averaging only 3.1 strikeouts. Will Westville keep running through batters, or will the Cardinals buck the trend?
