Soccer Game Preview: Skyridge vs. Corner Canyon

The Skyridge Falcons will square off against the Corner Canyon Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Skyridge and five for Corner Canyon.

On Thursday, Skyridge didn't have quite enough to beat American Fork and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, Skyridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while American Fork are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, Corner Canyon didn't have quite enough to beat Lone Peak on Thursday and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Corner Canyon have lost by just one goal.

Skyridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Corner Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Skyridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Corner Canyon when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
