The team also got some help courtesy of Lt Noegel, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Despite the loss, John Carroll Catholic still got an impressive performance from Collin Jefferson, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine assists. Jefferson hasn't dropped below eight assists for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Caden Johnson, who scored 12 points.

Cardinal Newman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. As for John Carroll Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-16.
