Volleyball Recap: LEE Takes a Loss

LEE lost against Clark back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Volunteers came up short against the Cougars, falling 3-0. The Volunteers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While LEE was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-20, 25-9.

Alaina Ruiz paced LEE's offense, picking up 12 kills. Ruiz got some help from Chloe Bengoechea and her 26 assists.

Clark can attribute much of their success to Aubree Campos, who had 18 digs and one assist. Those 18 digs gave Campos a new career-high. Alexandra Neatherlin also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

LEE's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Clark, their win bumped their record up to 13-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. LEE is set to square off against their familiar foe Brandeis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Clark will face off against rival Churchill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
