Basketball Recap: Knoxville Christian Takes a Loss

Knoxville Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 75-33 loss at the hands of the Foundation Christian Academy Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-25 two weeks ago.

Foundation Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore William Cummins, who posted 19 points and five boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cummins has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Logan Nix, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Knoxville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Foundation Christian Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.

Knoxville Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Berean Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Foundation Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 82-33 victory against Hendersonville Christian Academy on the 21st.
