Recap: Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins vs. Brookland-Cayce Bearcats
The Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Brookland-Cayce 64-19 at home. While fans of Orangeburg-Wilkinson might be used to big wins, the 45-point margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.
Jenia Haigler was her usual excellent self, scoring 13 points along with six steals and five assists. She has been hot recently, having posted five or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joliyah Robinson, who scored 14 points.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Brookland-Cayce, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Darlington at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Orangeburg-Wilkinson's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Darlington has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Brookland-Cayce does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
