Softball Recap: New Hartford Comes Up Short

New Hartford had taken Whitesboro down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Spartans fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-4. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 12-7 to the Warriors when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

New Hartford saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ruby Gehringer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

New Hartford now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Whitesboro, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Hartford will take on Fayetteville-Manlius at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitesboro, they will host Oneida at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
