Plainfield came tearing into Thursday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past the Roosevelt Mustangs 69-67. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cardinals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' national basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th in New Jersey, while the Mustangs are ranked second in California).

Plainfield's win bumped their record up to 28-2. As for Roosevelt, they moved to 35-3 with that loss, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.

Plainfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 86-49 defeat against Allen on the 28th. Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
