Basketball Game Preview: Powell County Pirates vs. Paintsville Tigers

The Powell County Pirates will challenge the Paintsville Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Paintsville is hoping to do what Bluegrass United couldn't on Monday: put an end to Powell County's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Powell County snuck past Bluegrass United with a 67-62 win.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paintsville). They breezed by East Ridge to the tune of 88-50 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Paintsville's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Powell County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
