Soccer Recap: Piper vs. Shawnee Heights
Piper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 1-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Martin Gonzalez scored both of Piper's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.
Piper's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Shawnee Heights, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Seaman the next time they take the pitch. Piper will head out to face Seaman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Shawnee Heights will head out to face them on October 1st.
