Morgan County entered their tilt with Rutland on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Hurricanes by a score of 2-0. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hurricanes, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Morgan County took both sets by at least 18 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-1, 25-7.

Abby Dennard paced Morgan County's offense, picking up eight kills. Dennard got some help from Graycen Cawthon and her 13 assists. Cawthon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Morgan County's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Rutland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Morgan County and Rutland will both be playing Jackson County the next time they take the court. The Hurricanes will head out to face the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
