Basketball Recap: Scott Find Success

Scott won the last time they faced Cumberland Gap and things went their way on Friday too. The Scott Highlanders secured a 59-54 W over the Cumberland Gap Panthers.

Cumberland Gap lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kolton Goins, who posted 20 points and three steals. The match was Goins' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brady Harris, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

Scott's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Cumberland Gap, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Scott will venture away from home to take on Gibbs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cumberland Gap has already played their next contest, a 59-47 loss against Hancock County on the 18th.
