Volleyball Recap: Antioch Takes a Loss

The Antioch Sequoits came up short against the Wheaton Academy Warriors on Monday and fell 2-0. The Sequoits have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20.

Justin Niznik paced Antioch's offense, picking up five kills. Niznik got some help from Ryan Jilly and his 13 assists.

Antioch's loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Wheaton Academy, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Antioch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Grayslake North on the 13th. As for Wheaton Academy, they will host St. Edward at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors are facing the Green Wave at the right time seeing as the Green Wave are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
