Filer won the last time they faced Buhl and things went their way on Monday too. The Wildcats walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Indians.

Ava Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Heidi Winegar, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Ella Jensen also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Filer's win bumped their record up to 6-10-1. As for Buhl, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Indians beat Filer by a score of 5-3 later that day.
