Softball Recap: Port Charlotte Pirates vs. North Port Bobcats
After flying high against South Fort Myers last Wednesday, Port Charlotte came back down to earth. The Port Charlotte Pirates came up short against the North Port Bobcats on Friday, falling 17-1. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.
Port Charlotte saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Juliana Parolisi, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Even though they lost, Port Charlotte hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Port struck out eight times.
Port Charlotte's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port Charlotte is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will take on Lemon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Port, they will head out to face off against North Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Fort Myers knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully North Port likes a good challenge.
