Kennedale proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Hillsboro Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since August 16th.

Kennedale wouldn't go down easily and took Hillsboro into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 27-25, 19-25, 21-25, 15-12.

Hillsboro's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Emma Spigener, who had 11 digs, and Anisa Rea, who had three digs and three aces.

Kennedale has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-16 record this season. As for Hillsboro, their loss dropped their record down to 23-11.

Kennedale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Godley on the 14th. As for Hillsboro, they will head out to square off against Ferris at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
