Soccer Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Liberty has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fort Zumwalt South Bulldogs. Liberty were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Fort Zumwalt South earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Fort Zumwalt South, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Liberty and Fort Zumwalt South will both be playing Fort Zumwalt North the next time they take the pitch. The Eagles will head out to face the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
