Baseball Recap: Pittsfield Comes Up Short

Pittsfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Newmarket Mules, falling 20-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mules this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 34-0 back in April.

Pittsfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Newmarket, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pittsfield will square off against rival Nute at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Newmarket is set to challenge their familiar foe Portsmouth Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
