Football Game Preview: Kimball Knights vs. Roosevelt Mustangs + How To Watch

The Kimball Knights will face off against the Roosevelt Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Roosevelt took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Kimball, who comes in off a win.

Kimball is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped last Thursday as they easily beat Pinkston 59-16. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Knights' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Vikings are ranked 685th).

Kimball didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of LaDavion Luckett-Matthews and Ace Aguilar.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Roosevelt's offense. They came up short against North Dallas on Friday, falling 24-0. The Mustangs have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Kimball pushed their record up to 2-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.0 points on average over those games. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Kimball against Roosevelt in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-0 win. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
