Basketball Game Preview: Grayson Christian vs. Still Creek Christian Colts

Grayson Christian will square off against the Still Creek Christian Colts at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Grayson Christian will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Grayson Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Mercy Prep Academy, taking the game 49-39.

Treyvon Ballard was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 18 rebounds. His afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Rostyne, who posted nine points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Grayson Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Still Creek Christian had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Warriors 70-28. The Colts' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Still Creek Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.1 points over those games. Grayson Christian pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
